So, a bit about me…
After studying English at university, I made the most of my degree in Anglo-Saxon Literature by forging a high-flying career making tea on TV programmes including The Big Breakfast, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and French & Saunders. It was while manning the kettle on the latter that I got my big break, fighting off Cameron Diaz for the prestigious role of ‘Unnamed Girl’ in a spoof Mel C video sketch.
After narrowly missing out on the chance to become a Channel 5 weather girl I moved into journalism, where I interviewed every famous John, from Prescott to Bon Jovi, ghostwrote a weekly column for a very famous footballer’s wife and enjoyed a brief stint as one half of Closer magazine’s gossip-columnist duo, Mr & Mrs Showbiz.
In 2009 I swapped the magazine world for a full-time career in ghostwriting and have since worked on a number of bestselling celebrity autobiographies and novels. Just Haven’t Met You Yet – my first novel under my own name – was written in a whirlwind of hormones, sleep deprivation and leaky boobs during the first year of my son’s life. I’d like to say giving birth to the baby was more painful than the book, but I’d be fibbing.
I live in south-west London with a husband (not Mr Showbiz), two small children and a hamster.
